Three years after Password Plus, I went on the $25,000 Pyramid and won a fur coat from Dicker & Dicker of Beverly Hills (my mother and five sisters returned it to me - and they weren't in PETA). I was three years older, twenty pounds heavier, 40% less "sparkling" and, after I won, I thought I'd never have to work again...

  • @Tre404 Not every week of "Pyramid" had one male and one female celebrity. In fact, on several occasions in the older 70s edition, they had both celebrities be of the same gender (ex.; Billy Crystal & Sal Viscuso, William Shatner & Leonard Nimoy).

  • dude- you rocked this round.

  • @raysn09 I don't think he used them to the point of giving a visual clue though. It was a very slight movement and very easy for the judges to have missed, in fairness.

  • Tre404, you're unfortunately wrong on that there always was a male/female celebrity. Just do a youtube search. I can give two examples right off the top of my head: Star Trek week with William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy, Tony Randall with Dick Cavett. I agree that MOST of the time they had a male/female celebrity to square off.

  • And looking at it now, that is SO OBVIOUSLY NOT Mary Cadorette. Looks nothing like her!

  • @mpontheair .... because the prepositional phrase "out of" was used. Strictly speaking, only lists are allowed, and when the clues become any more grammatically involved than that, they get buzzed. "Sunday newspaper coupons" followed by "a relative's newspaper obituary" (only descriptive language, no "joining" words, you see) would have been ideal.

  • @Loogaroo1 ...Good point!

  • @cbrrenn1 ...especially when you consider that dogs don't have nails!

  • @yrralla ...seriously, the guy WHO WAS THERE is right... "Pyramid" ALWAYS pairs contestants with one male and one female celebrity. Never two celebrities of the same gender. (Although the may have made an exception for Henry J. Polic... lol.)
