do you have to support the engine at all when removing/reinstalling the mount? or can you just jack it up and unbolt it the way you did?

I ran over a pot hole two days ago now my engine has a mild vibration when on first gear (clutch only) at 1000rpm but does fine when I insert the accelerator. Could it be the mounts or something else?
