Katherine K. Young Deposition in Perry v. Schwarzenegger (Excerpt)

This week, the pro-Prop 8 defendants in the federal case Perry v. Schwarzenegger withdrew two people, Paul Nathanson, Ph.D. and Katherine Young, Ph.D, from their federal trial witness list. Their depositions by the anti-Prop 8 plaintiffs' attorney David Boies of The American Foundation For Equal Rights seem to indicate the witnesses would not have been much help to the defendants.

I find it OFFENSIVE that the defense in this case lied about why they were excusing this witness. Their own witnesses' testimony REFUTES THIER CLAIMS in this case! How much more evidence is needed to overturn this horrible law and provide a means to strengthen the protection from majority rule against the equal protection clause of the CA constitution?

Freedom ... IF we made any mistakes in the past, imho it was the idea that there could be any sort of compromise with these bigots. They are NOT our friends, and given their way, every one of our political and social gains as LGBT people would be removed. Of course they are too embarrassed to let their true motives be made public .. they are snakes.
