Boston Bruins Top 10 Goals of the 2011 NHL Playoffs

This is my personal top 10 goals of the run to the Stanley Cup. It was tough to decide top 10 as importance of the goal vs the style of the goal. Below is how I decided.....

1. Nathan Horton in Game 7 vs MTL - This was the first time where the fortunes of the Bruins changed from the disastrous past game 7s of the previous years. It gave the sense that this playoff year was going to be different. Great call by Jack Edwards.

2. Patrice Bergeron in game 7 vs Vancouver. The shorthanded goal to virtually seal up the Stanley Cup for the first time since 1972.

3. Nathan Horton in Game 7 vs TB. The goal that ended up being the difference in the Bruins reaching the Stanley Cup Finals for the first time since 1990.

4. Tyler Seguin in Game 1 vs TB - Cross over, score, amazing once again

5. Brad Marchand in Game 3 vs Vancouver - Shorthanded, pass to yourself, score, incredible

6. Tyler Seguin in Game 2 vs Tampa Bay - Breakaway with speed and score, amazing

7. Michael Ryder in Game 4 vs Montreal - Down 2-1 in the series and really could not afford to go down 3-1 to the Habs, Ryder puts in the game winner in OT

8. Patrice Bergeron in game 7 vs Vancouver - The team that scored the first goal won every game in the Stanley Cup Finals so this was a vital goal to the Bruins chances to bring home the Stanley Cup

9. Nathan Horton in Game 5 vs Montreal - The goal in OT gave the Bruins the first series lead against the Habs

10. Milan Lucic in Game 4 vs Philadelphia - The goal virtually ended any chance of a repeat nightmare vs the Flyers from the year before. Another great line from Jack Edwards.

I am mostly in agreement with this list... but Seguins goal in game 1 vs tampa? really? That one doesn't fit in here at all... I'd rather have seen a goal with more meaning really. also the differences in volumes for different goals and all, meh.

All great goals, but I can dig Nathan Horton's OT goal in Game 7 vs the Habs as being the one that set the course for the Bruins' playoff run the rest of the way. Way to go Bruins!!

im a habs fan, and that first round series was unbelievable

3 O.T's, and that great game 7 finish

the way i see it that was stanley cup finals material, the canucks-bruins series was boring

8-1, 4-0, vancouver wasnt nearly up to the challenge
