Thousands of people across San Francisco city celebrated on the streets as the San Francisco Giants beat the Texas Rangers 3-1 tonight to win the World Series. Renteria and Lincecum were the stars of the night, leading their team to a historic win with their brilliant performance.

Traffic was blocked all over the city as hordes of people flocked out of bars, restaurants and homes to celebrate. The sounds of drums, cheers, and champagne popping reverberated in the air, while fireworks filled the night sky. Euphoric orange and black clad fans mostly in their 20s climbed on top of buses and waved Giants flags to celebrate the glorious victory that has come after a long wait of 56 years. The Giants bagged their first World Series Title way back in 1954 when they were the New York Giants.

The city of San Francisco is celebrating The Giants victory in Texas with a victory parade on Wednesday. According to the Mayor's Office, the parade will begin at 11 a.m. on Montgomery Street and Washington Street. It will head south on Montgomery Street to Market Street, where it will go west to City Hall. This is the same route that the Giants took when the team first came to San Francisco from New York in 1958. Mayor Gavin NewsomGavin Newsom will present the team with the key to the city and hold a civic celebration at the picturesque City Hall.

The parade will probably bring the whole city to a stand still as thousands of fans line the sidewalks to welcome home their beloved heroes, the San Francisco Giants.
