Haven't heard this in decades. Used to play it (as a drummer) in combos way back in the 50's. Thanks a bunch for posting - it's one of my favorite oldies.

This is absolutely one of my all-time favorite songs. Chet's treatment of it is the best I've heard. I'm partial to this live recording because even in Chet's diminished condition, he was still able to give a soulful performance. Perhaps, more so due to his condition and the trials life had took him through. In any event, his performance here is stellar and whether he is to be considered tragic or triumphant, no one can deny his obvious talent and the greatness of this particular showing.
