@sk8brder40 Oh, I see. I guess it must be a combination of that, and smoking. I don't get how he never learned to do things the proper way, because he had a vocal coach, her name is Janice Cruz. I wonder...

@ThatDereKid Basically, he pushes out his notes, rather than using the proper stances, breathing techniques, and use of the soft and hard pallettes in the mouth to help release them out like a breath of air. I totally believe he used to have the ability to hit those notes, but he never got the correct training or lessons to teach him how to do them safely for his vocal cords. He probably got quite a few nodes in his throat over the years due to that.

@ThatDereKid NickAD30 knows exactly what video you are talking about and he is still 100% correct. TBS is still my favorite band, but Adam has messed up his voice by using cigarettes and improper techniques that completely strained it. Live, he was always out of key, even a little bit, unless it was an autotuned video. Yeah, he does Your Own Disaster pretty well. That's because it's sung lower, in his range. When he goes higher, he's always squeaking out notes just barely out of key.

@NickAD30 you shouldnt put limitations on art

@NickAD30 I'm talking about the video by Gracesux9. Read the comments there, they know what I'm talking about.

@ThatDereKid So I looked up that video, and he sounds almost as bad there. It's inevitable that by singing crazy high notes that you have to squeeze out like he did all the time, your voice will end up sounding like this. Raspy and squeaky. They used to be my favorite band, until I realized how silly it was that he sang those parts when there are plenty of great bands with singers who sing in their range. I don't know how you're not hearing the off notes in every performance.

@NickAD30 Look up the TAYF-era performances. They got no form of help there.
Like the "Your Own Diaster" live performance with around 30,000 views.
-
@ThatDereKid He really didn't. Their live recordings are very noticeably autotuned, and I've seen them live a few times and he never really had a good sense of pitch.
-
@NickAD30 You do realize he hit the notes like nothing for 5 years?

@nellie2581 Oh dude thanks! From now on, I'll think about the infinite possibilities of the future before I post on Youtube!
