Just a few more photos of my old 1:18 garage diorama, shot with some of my diecast cars inside. Again, this is a test video, I'm trying out a new encoder. Music used is titled "Born Too Slow" by The Crystal Method. This is one of the tracks that can be found in the Need For Speed Underground game. Some details on how this diorama was made can be found in the old site I put up -

Thanks for the comment. I used white LED Christmas lights for the diorama. Hope the info helps.

  • I yes i read ur comment below but Im a plastic model builder thinking about moving on Die Cast 1/18 scale. Im going to make a Diorama. But does the link have any diroma buildings on makineg a american classic garage made of bricks, and a detriot looking garage?

  • @Dilsterboy

Hi again, thanks for viewing. Unfortunately, I haven't yet made an American classic garage-inspired diorama, but I hope to make one, one of these days. For your diorama project, I guess it'll be best to use photos of actual American classic garages as reference and inspiration. :-)

  • the crystal method-born too slow!

In my diorama, the door is approximately 4.5x1.75" in dimension. This was scaled down from the standard door we have at home. Take note however that in real life, there can be virtually an infinite number of variations in door sizes. If you've seen a particular type of door which you want to scale down to 1/18, you need to know its dimensions, then divide each by 18 to arrive at the desired scale. The same goes for other structures you may want to replicate in 1/18 scale.
