Atlantis, Pompeii, lost continents, cities under sands...they hold such mysteries, conjure worlds in the imagination. What secrets do they hold, and are there also lessons to be uncovered? In the film-collage "Underwater Trilogy" the viewer is submerged by both exploration and the question: What if? Even before the Katrina of New Orleans and the South Asian tsunami of 2004, it seemed to the artist that something in the global environment was becoming out of balance. Now in the wake of the tragic 2010 earthquake in Haiti and the 2011 Japan Tsunami, it feels as if world reports of natural disaster are becoming the norm. How much of it truly is due to pollution, to global warming? Now more than ever the question is not only "What if"; the question is also "What can be done?".
