Converting a FWD to AWD takes alot of tools and alot of work. Not worth it in the end.

@Master7770 its the stupidest thing to do! there is no driveshaft tunnel in a 1g fwd so you have to make one and that is all your structural support in the floor board therefor cutting it up is a horrible idea!

dude I'm a hardcore DSM fan. I already knew they made a AWD laser and yeah I also know the 3 are sister cars. Clearly you've never tried it though because its not "cake" as you called it. It takes HOURS of labor and requires cutting and welding along with some wireing fabrication. Not to mention all of the mechanical parts required from the doner car which had better be a real pile of shit because if it were just missing the engine you could pull the FWD's and just get the AWD trans.

hey smart guy they made a AWD laser and its not that much work a eclipse or eagle talon were exactly the same so if u had a shell itd be cake .

@asnman4456 i bought my 1990 tsi awd for 300 bucks and it ran perfect till it overheated one day...then i bought my 1989 gst for 700 then i crashed it about a couple weeks ago so now i pulled the motor and im about ready to drop it in my tsi awd
