@Zigz15 First of all, gay people are not fighting for the right to be married in a Church! They're fighting for the right to be legally married and to be afforded equal protection under the laws which apply to any other married couple. Hence, a church cannot be forced to marry any couple (hetero or homo), Churches have always performed marriage ceremonies at their own discresion, and can continue to do so, without threat of legal repercussions (Google "State actor doctrine").

No reason not to allow gay marriage. Marriage doesn't have anything to do with religion unless you want to make religion part of marriage. The government isn't obligated to make marriage a religious matter, seperation of church and state, remember? It doesn't matter what a religious persons feelings are about marriage, or how important marriage is to their religion, because the government is seperate from that.

They can deny them, just like they can deny any couple they so choose. For instance, Catholics deny couples (among other things) if they don't pledge, in writing, to raise their children Catholic.

@Hexl702 So? other organizations besides churches enjoy the luxury and may even be more needy than the church and those organization may even do some good for the community? You gonna say they shouldn't have it either? Heck people may not see it always, but many churches do something other than just preach to people. Many churches help a lot of people and ones even more needy than the supposed poor the democrats seem to love babying.

@Hexl702 Yeah, but question is how much do they actually pay. Property tax is based on the worth of a few things and if they are legitametly poor then they probably don't have to pay a lot because what they have isn't worth anything. Thats the beauty of the tax system its based on percents and not a straight fee. So effectively the rich pay out more because their stuff is worth more and the poor pay less because their stuff is worth less.

@Hexl702 Selling eternal life? Did you miss the part where I said churches take "donations"? Which is totally optional? In the old testament it is said give Israel was to give 10% yes if your gonna start cherry picking the Bible, but thats old testament. New Testament says give what you can in a summed up sense. Some pastors push the envelope of giving more than others, but Pastors aren't really known for trying to beat money out of you, just an optional offering every service.

@Hexl702 How do you even get that? I mean most churches get money from donations anyway. Its not like corperations who sell something or make a product. I've actually church expense reports and unless the church has some huge 5,000 people congregation church they wouldn't even have a million dollars to their name. You seem to think a church is like some big corperations, but only a handful make any amount of money thats really worth taxing.
