I think Jesus himself would be disappointed in this lil' debate. Two of the most expressive and human things "God" gave humanity are the minds capable of belief in him and the hands to create what we understand as our interpretation of him. Of course we don't know exactly what God would look like, he's an abstract concept to us. God is Art. . .We make art. . .We were made in his image. Believe me. . . there'll art in Heaven. . . God has a vast collection of self portraits.=)

"Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth." ?: This is anyone that died. Yes? What about moles? They live benesth the earth. Do they not? By this, fish are also not allowed. Please explain this all for me. Thank you.

Thus, humans are in the likeness of God. Yes yes yes. No one spring from animals or angels, but God! And when we are changed, we will be changed into what we have sprung from. But HOW can you say one shouldnt draw Jesus?
-
Simply because as JESUS SAID; IF YOU HAVE SEEN ME, YOU HAVE SEEN THE FATHER!!
You can believe it or not!

He is not my pope: I am not catholic. But do you think that Jesus had a face? I do. The depictions of God, I will agree, are difficult to render because God had no form that we know. But Juses did. Jesus was God's son, but we are ALL God's children. How is me drawing you different the me drawing Jesus? I see it as the same.

Do You suppose Michelangelo KNEW?? what they looked like???
No one can take liberty's with God's Commandment's, Not even your pope!!
-
But, I have recieved no explanation to the fact that the Pope commissioned Michelangelo to paint God & Jesus within the Sistine Chapel. How is this ok?
THE COMMANDMENT you just quoted explain's your question!
man's problem understanding GOD and the scripture's is not excepting what are abselute's in life. When we believe that God is our creator we except his word as abeselute. There's nothing more we can add.

It does not explain the question at all. If one draws you when you die, is that a sin? If one draws an animal that lives under the reound or in the waters, is that a sin?
