http://offto.net/dvdtvseries - "Mason Raige is never one to back down from a fight, and that's precisely what he got when Mikey Whipwreck intervened to spice up the main event at the March 18 edition of NYWC Rampage! The original plan was for Raige to face a mystery opponent chosen by Dickie Rodz, but when Rodz chose Whipwreck to face off against Raige, Mikey exercised his powers as commissioner and turned the tables on Rodz, booking an impromptu no-DQ title match between Raige and Rodz and naming himself the special guest referee! Rodz, try as the might, was overmatched by the awesome power of Mason Raige and the never-ending abuse by Whipwreck, and eventually Raige pinned Rodz to remain the NYWC Champion.
The rest of the night was just as action-packed as the wild main event, with titles changing hands and rivalries boiling over. In the opening HI-FI Championship match, Mike Spinelli (with a little help from his friends) delivered on his promise, and defeated Plazma to become the new champ. The NYWC Interstate Championship, however, stayed put around the waist of Javi-Air, who faced off against Grim Reefer for the second month in a row. Once again, these two proved to be very closely matched, but Javi took advantage of Reefer's failed attempt to make use of a 2x4, and rolled him up for the pin and the victory.
The tag team titles were also on the line, as Brian Myers & Brett Matthews took on the team of Joey Braggiol & Mega. However, before the match could begin, NYWC fans were introduced to a new member of the ever-growing Myers & Matthews entourage, Bobby Mitko, their personal ring announcer. Mega and Braggiol made their way to the ring and put up one hell of a fight, but both were ultimately felled by a ring bell to the head, and a massive Heat Stroke finished them off to end the match.
The much-anticipated debut of NWA Cyberspace at an NYWC event also proved to be a success, as Bobby Roode went one-on-one with Josh Daniels in a "Respect the Flag" match for the NWA CS Internet title. Thanks in part to some interference by Mistress Asia, Canada's own Bobby Roode defeated Daniels to become the new Internet champ and humiliate Daniels in front of his home crowd by draping a Canadian flag over his shoulders.
What else went down at NYWC Rampage? Dan Barry's match against Maverick was cut short when Ken Scampi, Foxxy Dreams and Disturbed Damien Dragon all got involved in a major brawl ended with Damien Dragon stranded in the ring with his wife Foxxy. Unfortunately for Damien, Foxxy had managed to book him in a handicap match against the Dead Presidents, who ultimately picked him apart with an attack consisting largely of garbage cans, street signs and chains. Following the match, Tara Charisma made her unexpected and intriguing return, helping Damien to his feet and back to the locker room.
Also, Rob Eckos and Billy Bax picked up another victory against the Angus Brothers, Dan Dynasty was defeated soundly by Xavier, Stockade beat Spyder in a one-on-one confrontation, and Quiet Storm and Jerry Lynn went to a time limit draw after battling for 15 submission-filled minutes. Referee Andre was willing to let the match continue for five more minutes, but Quiet Storm would have none of that, leaving with a draw and his shoulder intact."
