Pretty impressive...I've never had any issues with snow in a RAV4. Just wish they felt more solid/heavier.

The Rav4 is great; particularly in the snow. One thing though--if you don't floor the gas, it will get through snow even deeper than 14 inches--the driver here almost got it stuck a few times. They are amazing vehicles.

I just got RAV4 AWD limited yesterday afternoon. I can't wait for chance to test out it AWD capability. It looks like good clean fun driving it in the snow.

@skippysmind, actually there are two kinds of Geolander, an all season and a more aggressive rough tread. I called to order tires for mine, and they told me about them. I called a Toyota garage, then ended up buying a Mastercraft Courser AT.

@farax001. It looks like the 4cyl. The V6 models have the emblem on the lower driver's side of the grill, and i think most 6's have 18" tires. This looks like 17's, could be 16's. Not sure. I have the Sport V6 and you see more rim than tire.

I was considering getting the 2 wheel drive but I think this video just sold me on the 4WD.

what a beast! looks good too:)

Even after 25mph the awd still works. If you need 4wd, chances are you won't be going over 25 unless you are just playing. Looks like fun :)

Is it 4 cylinder or V6?

Just bought a 08 model for the wife. Nice

@skippysmind You are right, i now have Coopper CS4 and they handle way better in any condition...

Now I'm from San Diego, where I never see snow, but last night when I was driving to my family's house in New Jersey last night, I'm so happy that my aunt has a Rav4. Truly amazing, and this is coming from someone who has never driven in it!!!
