Grand Tuhan Leo Gaje of Pekiti Tirsia Kali (PTK) gave a seminar in San Diego in 2007, demonstrating a technique he showed on the show "Human Weapon", Baliog Pomali. Everyone at the seminar called it the "Human Weapon" technique. This guy is the master of the blade, i think that's why he is referred to as the Blademaster.

@99cmhmarc You need to firmy push your elbow into his nape by pushing from his arm. You just have to give him pain dude. Yup, give him pain. Go on. Give him pain. That's the key to any lock. No pain = Slide away. Baliog pomali is designed to cause more pain if you will try to move slide away from it.

This technique is intended for breaking the neck with a quick, snappy motion, not for immobilizing or forcing a submission.

I believe that scholars argue that the story of Bodhidharma bringing martial arts to China is just a legend. Martial arts actually already existed in China and were likely developed by the Chinese military.

@gabbomushy The legends are sketchy. Many say that Bodhidharma/Da Mo (who was from Southern India and by most accounts was indeed a kalari master) didn't actually teach Shaolin monks fighting techniques, but exercizes and meditation to improve what he saw as their poor physical condition. Others say he stared at a wall for 9 years then left, leaving literature behind, which many doubt was even written by him. The debate continues today.

@99cmhmarc : Hello! If you notice from 0:17 onwards, the attacker's neck is lodged squarely on the forearm, a few inches away from the elbow. In the clip, the attacker is not actually resisting because it's just a demo, but for a moving/resisting opponent, you have to give him a strike/slap before attempting the move and when you have him in the lock, make sure the neck is resting squarely on the forearm, then pull your hand (holding his arm) towards you while "pushing" your elbow outwards. :)
