This is nothing at all like the same type of comedy as Airplane! Airplane! is full of puns and sight gags. Blazing Saddles is farcical slapstick. They are NOT the same thing. And uhhh...Airplane! doesn't have a Jewish slant. There were a couple of Jewish references in it, sure...but there were plenty of references to other religions and races too.
