-------------------------- PART 1 --------------------------

Recorded: 15th August 2007 - Thanks to Spidered News.

Evan Davis presents the series in which someone argues a provocative thesis.

Patrick Clawson, of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, argues that it would be better to have a war with Iran than to allow its government to develop nuclear weapons. He debates the issues with a panel of hecklers, including George Galloway, in front of an audience at Chatham House in London.

No problems, I am happy that I was able to help provide access to a debate which would otherwise go un-noticed.

  • Iran hasn't been the aggressor in a war for 800+ years. As George pointed out Isreal has been provided with an arsenal of nuclear weapons and have been the aggressor many times but no, I can see why they think Iran is a threat.. More war for oil control.

  • How rediculous a proposition by Patrick Clawson.

  • Excellent series. Thanks for uploading. Nuclear energy is going to be the primary source of electricity for most of the world in 15-20 years. Iran, who is already a significant player in the energy markets, wants to produce its own and be a supplier of nuclear fuel as well. West, along with China and Russia want to maintain a monopoly. Of course, West is hell bent on slowing Irans progress in any other field as well, hence the relentless demonization of Iran and Patrick Clawsons of the world.
