All my life I've lived in a Machine controlled City, Suburb, County and State. If the people in the 9th district finally throw her out it'll be sweet indeed. @NHTPC If you're smart enough to realize those dangerous things then you're smart enough to persuade others from believing in those things. Persuading those people takes much explanation, and it takes explaining what is right, not what is wrong or who is wrong. Believe in what's right and you'll fear the danger even more, but you'll have more faith in what's right and you'll be more true to it. There’s nothing wrong with going door-to-door and urging people to vote. There is something wrong–and illegal–with “pulling” people out of their homes, or threatening that you won’t leave until they do what you tell them.

It’s called intimidation, and it is a felony under Illinois law–even if it is, in Jan Schakowsky’s experience, a “tradition” in Chicago politics.
