Due to a budget deficit, SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) is proposing to raise the Muni bus fare from $1.50 to $2.00. In addition to this fare raise, the SFMTA will also be cutting bus routes around the city. For the large community in San Francisco that ride the Muni everyday, a bus ride of 2 dollars requires a minimum transportation cost of 120 dollars a person per month (assuming two bus rides per day).
The first public hearing was on the afternoon of Tuesday, April 7. However, until the Friday before the assembly, we noticed that the news of the fare change proposal only appeared on one newspaper and the SFMTA website. Based on testimonies of current commuters, we were safe to presume that the majority of the public were not aware of this issue.

Given the lack of publication, we found an urgency and an opportunity to implement a campaign within 48 hours. We believe people's voices should be heard.
The group met on that Friday at 7pm to discuss current topics that interested us. We declared our issue at 11pm and immediately began the brainstorm process. 13 hours later, our solution became realized. We would stick mini postcards and large posters at bus stops to convey our message to the public. Nearing 5 PM on Saturday, we finished the production of about 900 cards and 100 posters, and headed to the street. We continued into Sunday (our last day) to spread the cards in the areas of the Civic Center, Potrereo Hill, Nob Hil, and other neighborhoods. The project ended when the 48 second video was finished on Sunday at sevon o'clock.
Your description is misleading. No one will spend 120 dollars on fares when he can get a fastpass(monthly pass) for 50 or 70 I forgot the current price
