It just so happened me and kate chose the exact same song for halloween :-P
haha...there was NO way i could've known since she hadn't revealed what she was doing ...she was making it a surprise..and...imagine my surprise! lol

This was a fun song..though its totally not perfect!
I used my zills and my sister's xylophoooone! She was more than glad to lend me it actually

Omg..I actually put my highest highest note in there! lol
I was challenging myself suddenly and it came out and I decided to let it stay (so weird). You can hear it at the last " LA"...yep..thats where my range officially ends. I can go NO higher than that ;-D

I only added that bit at the end FOR an ending so I just repeated 2 different parts together for the whispery part. ;-)

THE PROCESS

-The song was a PAIN with layering to be honest! XD
Since I dont have a variety of instruments, I have to put a backdrop to the lead vocals, which ( here's a secret ;-D ) I do using either hums and ooohs or aahhs to fill up the empty space in the back! Add some echo, you've filled more space! ;-)

I had SEVEN project files for this one. Each containing layers and layers of sound files. ( The biggest layering song I've had up to date XD)

Prodigious! Dude this rocks! Very haunting and...just inspiring! You must have worked very hard for this. *5 stars* I what impressed me is that you use your voice to, as you said, fill in empty space, instead of the instruments. ^^D keep up the good work!
