Odd that Ronco put this out, since Disney had their own label (Disneyland Records). Notice this still has that odd tonal quality that most of Disney's trailers and stuff had from that time. (And before they started pretending that "Song of the South" never existed.)

  • What an odd comercial - It's like they produced it for the blind. The narrator repeats everything you see on-screen!

  • I still have this album, but the record is not in good condition.

  • I used to have this record!

  • Most of these stores at are mentioned at the end are no longer in business.

    They are:

Woolworth-Woolco - Closed in 1997, Woolco closed in 1983 in US.

    Cunningham's - Bankrupt

    Clarkin's - Bankrupt

Ward's - Closed in 2001 (now online magazine catalog)

Big Wheel - Closed sometime in 1993 ( We had one in Chardon just by my neck of the woods)

    Camelot Music - Now FYE

Ben Franklin - Out of Business ( We had one in my hometown in Middlefield,Ohio many years ago)

    Sears - Still around

  • Btw I have that album bought it at Goodwill, only it was used so I knew it didn't come with the lyrics and miniture cut out character stand ups, and the record was obviously played by children, with multiple scratches evident.

  • Disney didn't just have Disneyland Records they also had a specialty (and more "adult" type) label called Buena Vista Records, which debuted in 1960 when Annette automatically signed up for Disney's record label[s]

  • The ending v/o for Ronco's Greatest Hits of Walt Disney album ad was former WUAB Channel 43 staff announcer Marty Sullivan (aka: "Superhost"). Plus I believe at 0:52-0:54, just before Superhost's voice is heard, it sounds like the late Jack Reynolds on the voiceover.

  • "The Siamese Cat Song" is one of the greatest things humans have ever done.

  • Sounds like the main announcer was the late Dick Wesson who was the longtime Disney announcer. So the 'Mouse' may've worked in conjunction with Ronco.
