he is a amazing black athlete, blacks and whites was a big thing back then and he pulled threw and kicked ass, to make a big dent in the black history. now adays its just history, but back then it was black history or white history. simple as that.
Not to be controversial for the sake of it, but there is no such thing as "black" or "white" history, there is only history. We are all part of it, every color, and it's all connected.
I am old enough to have seen Ernie Davis play, and he was indeed an amazing athlete. Not an amazing "black" athlete, just an amazing athlete, and by all accounts, a fine man.
