  • @RoachLIVEinLA This is in standard tuning. You can visit the link in the "more info" section to get the chord charts and tabs.

  • if this is you making these videos then god bless you and thank you. finally someone explaining something with the name hendrix in the title that is not full of himself and tries to overcomplicate everything and thus not explaining anything. This is finally a decent explaination of the hendrix chord tricks. Thank you once again.

  • Could you give some songs where this style was used?

  • This guy so patient and soft spoken. If I ever get good enough to make a guitar lesson It'll be like this...patient, funny, and not punctuated by intervals of me freaking out and playing complicated riffs. I love his accent too :)

  • this guy probably knows how to fish too

  • seriously. you my friend are a GOD among mortals thank you SO much i have been scouring the internet and picking friends brains for the secrets to some hendrix style playing for YEARS and finally you have taught me something... THANK YOU.

  • @joeluitalmere hardly an ass...

    you on the other hand...

  • @RoachLIVEinLA Am with a root on the low E does look like a power chord, but power chords only utilize the last 3 strings(lowest) the bar Am utilizes all 6 strings. Power chord only use the root and the 5th.

  • what an ass haha... knows what he's talking bout though

  • @slidegtr recién veo esto 2 años después XD me cagué de risa

  • @RoachLIVEinLA A power chord technically uses the root and the 5th only. You omit the 3rd which makes it minor or major (3 for major and flat 3 for minor)

The Am chord he played was basically just like what you refer to as power chords with some extra notes (the flat 3rd)

  • Many thanks for that! I actually learned something more about guitar today!
