Recorded for Columbia April 1955 with Paul Weston and his orchestra; B side "Please Don't Go So Soon". Very fun version of a Ray Charles classic!

  • Recordings like these really helped to crossover R&B/Rock 'n' Roll into the white mainstream. Eddie Fisher's Just One More Time is another example around this same time. Five of the Top eight tunes in April 1955 had some rock 'n' roll influence; something few would have predicted just a year earlier (before Shake, Rattle & Roll and Sh-Boom started the mainstream trend).

  • good old jo not heard this before tks for posting
