Isolate and Patch a system

Building upon the power-on and patch lab demonstration, this scenario includes the use of network filtering. Commonly referred to as System Defense for Intel Active Management Technology, the network filtering blocks in-bound and out-bound traffic at the network hardware interface. In this lab demonstration, specially configured network filters are applied which will still allow software delivery from the source Altiris Notification Server running TaskServer. This scenario allows for secure patching when a client might be exposed to or already affected by software or internet based attacks.
