This is a humorous animated Chrono Trigger short I made for my brother's birthday. I only had about a week to work on it, so I didn't have time to properly lipsynch the characters' voices (not that it would have mattered anyway, since the framerate dips occasionally), but I still like how it turned out. Hope you like it!
...Oh, and if you've never played Chrono Trigger, and you have a DS and/or SNES, GO BUY THE GAME NOW. It's the greatest RPG of all freaking time. Period.
Credits:
--I did all the voice acting, except for the following voice clips: 1. Frog shouting "Have at thee, demon!" and "Haaaa!" were taken from one of my brother's favorite episodes of 'The Fairly Oddparents', and I am unsure of the name of the true voice actor. 2. The voices of Crono, Lucca, Marle, and Frog screaming were taken from Findsounds.com.
--I drew / animated Crono, Marle, Lucca, Frog, Robo, and Atropos.
--The 2300 AD Overworld Map and the Proto Dome Interior sprites, along with the music that plays at the very beginning of the video, were taken directly from Chrono Trigger, and were created by Square-Enix.
--The explosion sprites were taken from Metal Slug, and were created by Nazca Corporation.
--The song 'Never Gonna Give You Up' (otherwise known as the Rickroll) was recorded by Rick Astley, and 'Caramelldansen' was recorded by Caramell.
--Sound Effects were taken from various Sonic games, the Transformers movie trailer, and Findsounds.com.
--I used Game Maker 6 to make this animated short. The homemade graphics were created with Microsoft Paint. The Proto Dome interior sprites were edited using the Game Maker 8 Image Editor. Wavepad was used to record / distort my voice. CamStudio was used to record the animation as an AVI file.
--Special thanks to Tophunter7 and Jackaroo for suggesting good video recording software.
--Chrono Trigger is property of Square-Enix. No copyright infringement intended.
Interesting notes:
--I am aware that the events of this video aren't in their true canonical order (for instance, Frog isn't supposed to have the Masamune this early in the game, nor is he supposed to be present during Robo's reawakening), but I had to stray from the game's storyline a bit, or the video wouldn't have been as funny. :D
--In case you don't get the joke, Robo's Theme from Chrono Trigger sounds uncannily similar to the infamous Rickroll. ;)
--Originally, Atropos sang an atrocious song my brother and I despise titled 'Crazy Car' and she danced the same as Robo, but once I decided to put the video on Youtube, I changed it so Atropos sings 'Caramelldansen' instead, since that song is more recognizable.
--I don't actually think 'Caramelldansen' is such a bad song. It's quite catchy, actually. But a lot of people dislike the song, and it is nearly as recognizable as (if not MORE recognizable than) the 'Rickroll', so I thought it would be a good choice for Atropos's song.
--Despite the way Robo is portrayed in my video, he is actually my favorite Chrono Trigger character, next to Frog. ;)
Thanks for watching!

@fanatic235vids I have played the game many times and unlocked every ending, O Wise One. As stated in the video description, I am aware that the events of this video don't line up with the true storyline. Sorry that a bit of comedic improvisation ruined the greatest RPG of all time for you. I forgot some people can't take a joke.

if she really wanted revenge for what happened to Robo, she should have used Nyan Cat instead. that's what I would've done. :)

@CTSael That would have definitely been a more severe punishment, but this video came over a year before Nyan Cat was created. Perhaps I'll remake it someday with that song instead.

Frog rulez! Hey, what does he yell while kills Robo?

@00MajinVegeta89 He yells "Have at thee, demon!" It's a quote from an episode of Fairly Oddparents, when King Arthur kills a dragon. :P
