This was me two months ago. Brace yourself.

CLARIFICATION: When I say "obsessive thought patterns," I mean toward social situations. I played and replayed social situations in my head for many hours on many nights, searching for implied meanings from the other party based on the mistakes that I know I made... Even if I didn't. It was horrible, and I'm glad the nightmare is almost over.

The following video--which relates directly to this topic--influenced me a great deal, and (seriously) put me on the road to recovery:

  • This is me exactly! I always replay social events over and over in my head because of that fact that I percieve that I made a mistake that I am flawed in public.I cant talk to people on here cause you know Im just facing a Screen and not a human face.Unfortunately Ive experienced this all my life, every single day, Im a recluse because of this.

  • Don't eat so much, so we won't have enough energy to be obsessive?!?!?!.. You've got to be kidding me.. That's a messed up response, even if it works it definately doesn't sound healthy..I will give you credit for saying to cut the caffiene.. I am a cokeaholic and I know after a coke I feel more anxious.

  • Oh great, the video that put you on the road to recovery has been removed by the user lol

  • my life story except without the prozac

  • Got social phobia. It's so hard to deal with especially because most people don't understand it. It's also very hard (to me anyway) to explain what happens in my mind when I get in an anxious situation. It's very often thoughts that keep coming back-the same ones-over and over again. Sometimes people ask me why I think these things and I can't even tell them why. It just happens over and over again. It's very agressive and invasive. Been stuck over 5 years with it.

  • did you ever have obsessional thinking dating back ten to twenty years in the past?

  • I have just spent 3 hours going over wether a girl was kissing me like she wanted to or wether i just thought she was. Now i just spent another hour realizing that i have phronemophobia, (fear of thinking too much). Then i got worried so i stopped thinking, then i realized if i had selective phronemophobia then it wouldnt be so bad, then i realized i was thinking to much and went for a lie down, then i got bored and searched youtube for a MOTHERFUCKING SOLUTION.

  • Can you post something about the link on your brief. The youtube linked video is not there anymore. I could really use the help.

    Thanks

  • prozac is rubbish. it didnt work for me anyway. Only thing it did for me was give me 'butterflies'. And what do you mean by 'professional'.. doctors dont know there left hand from their right. Nor do psychologists!

  • eating protein i think is good. NOT EATING MUCH is wrong..
