  • Rather him be stuck in a stable all winter?

  • Ine bin working with racehorses and training as a jockey for the last year now soo IF you have done more with horses and have trained in the british school of racing for a year that feel free to post what you want ... but if you havent which i assume non of you have then keep your mouth shut and save your bull**** horse knowledge to yourselfs thank you ....

  • OMFG get over yourselfs it was this or he die of cold in a cow shelter and slipp on the slats and hurt himself when we were not around to help .. you all talk like your some big man horse person well reality check this is real world and sometimes you have to do dangerous stuff to avoid worse stuff we live in ireland ... IT GETS COLD .. .. and to every1 who realises we had to do this and its not the end of the world thank you much love people xx

  • One more thing, the chans that the horse would break his leg if he falls are pretty small, my horse has slipped and fall on ice and she didn't get hurt in any way!

Its a bigger chans that they get a strain then that they break their leg!!

A horse is not made of china and they can take alot more then you think!!

  • Salt. Seriously. If the area around the barn where I work was this icy, the horses would stay inside until the ice could be dealt with either by salt or sand. I work with some crazy OTTBs and not only would I fear for their safety, but my own, as well.

  • That's cruel, he obviously did not want to do it!

  • There is nothing wrong with what you're doing. I understand.... and who is anyone to judge? Looks like your more a rider than any of these other people! You even walked him at the edge so he wouldn't slip too much! Don't listen to what these other haters have to say... I believe that you'd be careful with your own horses.... :)

  • Are you serious? What would you pick. Stay in the stable allll winterrr lonngggg. Or out haveing a blast playing in the snow and being worked on so that summer he would have been great?

  • @hazel0N0jasmin Its called salt or grit. Put it down on the road to melt the ice. Its extremely dangerous walking a horse on ice - I know of one who did fall, break a leg and was put down. Not worth the risk when you can buy a bag of salt!

  • U can tell he is wary and dosent want to go along it by the fact that he stands and dosent want to walk on, bt youi have to take him along . God im glad im not Sam the horse !

  • i'd rather have my 'pride and joy' in a stable, and get grit down for the next morning. rather than risking him/her slipping up and breaking a few bones. its common sense really?

  • aaaaw cute pony, and like you said, this is better than the poor pony being stuck in his stable for the whole winter :D

  • @hazel0N0jasmin hes trying to sympathise for the horse so shut ur fucking trap u smart ass
