I was at home, just chilling out in my room, when the phone rang. I thought it was going to be my aunt or whoever, so I didnt answer it.
ALLISON! PHONE FOR YOU! mom shouted from downstairs.
OKAY I GOT IT! I said, picking up the phone.
Hello? Adam said, nervously.
Hey Adam! Whats up? Why are you so nervous? I asked, now laying down on my stomach with my feet up (on my bed).
Oh nothing, I was just wondering if I could come over. You know, to hang out. he said.
He sounded like he was driving already, so I said why not. Then, we said goodbye and hung up. People are always saying how cute we are together and blah blah blah. I dont think so. I mean, hes my guy friend and, lets face it, why would he fall for me? Im just a normal teenager thats trying to live life to the fullest. I know, Im Allison Iraheta and Im famous and blah blah blah. But, that doesnt matter to me. Fame, fortune, moneyits all a waste of time. I mean, sure, you need money to buy things. The greatest thing in life is something that you cant buy: Love.
Adams a great friend of mine. We knew each other way before auditions for Idol. Lets seeweve known each other since I was a baby. Hes an awesome person, but I could NEVER see myself with him. Some people think that hes gay and some people think that he likes me. I know hes not gay because he told me hes bisexual. I honestly dont care. Im cool with anybody no matter what their sexual orientation is. Anyway, I doubt he likes me. Sure, hes handsome, intelligent, wonderful and many other thingsbut I dont love him. I just dont see myself being with him. Okay, okay. So sue me if I fell in love with him. But why on EARTH would he like me?
I heard a knock on the door and jumped. I got up and answered it.
Hey. Can I come in? Your mom said she was going out somewhere, so its just us two. he said eagerly.
Sure. Come on in. I said, smiling.
I just wanted to hang out and talk about some things. he said, laying down on my bed.
Okay. Talk about things like what? I asked, curiously.
Ohh, nothing. he said nonchalantly.
Adam! You know I hate it when you do this to me! I said, laying down next to him.
Fine. Ill tell you. he said.

Shoot. I said, totally in love.
He rested his hand on my waist and then took it off.
Sorry. he said, blushing.
Its okay, Adam. I said, taking his hand and placing it there.
Okay, so thats perfect for what I was just about to say. he said.
Which is? I asked impatiently.
Well he started.
Adam! I pleaded.
Okay, okay. he said with a sigh.
Go on I said.
Okay. Allison, please. Just bare with me. Its hard to say. he said.
He was using my full name, which was rare for him. He usually calls me Ally. That meant that it was really important.
Okay. Say it! I begged.
Allison Iraheta, Ive known you for so long now and I think this is the perfect time for me to say this. Youre a beautiful girl and Id love to get to know you even more. he said.
And? I asked, confused.
Ally, will you be my girlfriend? he asked.
