I don't want to be rude, but... you're absolutely wrong

Functions are procedures outside of a class that can return a value.

A Method is a procedure like that of a function, but, it belongs to a class/object.

Java doesn't have functions -- everything is an object.

Therefore, it is not called function overloading in Java, it is called Method Overloading.

  • Very clear.

    Thnx.

  • @Northantrims I use Netbeans every day at work to manipulate PHP, HTML, and CSS. "It doesn't do ___" is a dangerous statement. If you had said, "It doesn't do ___ well" then maybe I'd agree with you.

  • @Arjun007ize Uhm. NetBeans is a Java IDE. It doesn't do HTML or CSS. Check out TheNewBoston's HTML 5 tutorials.

  • @EmbraceTheThunder True, but she got everything else good lol.
