"In Every Competition, There Is One Act You Feel Was Hard Done By, And Was Unfairly Judged. In This Competition, It Was Tom Crosbie"
- Walt Lees, Editor of Abra Magazine,

Recorded at the Blackpool Magicians' Club 57th Annual Convention.
20th February 2009 - Didn't Even Place.

This is my performance. This magic is meant for laymen. I didn't make too much of an effort to make it suitable for magicians. Just the odd joke, and the finale.

It hadn't been practiced enough, which is probably a suggestion as to why I didnt win. My patter could do with some tweaking, and I realise this.

If you like it, please rate and comment. If you dont like it.....don't.

I was upset that I didnt win at the time, but I feel the guy who came in 2nd was definately better than me, and 1st and 3rd place were definately more practiced than my act.

A big thanks to -
Harry Robson for Introducing it,

Les Pybus for keeping up security, and being there for me when I came off the losers podium,

Lawrence Turner, for shouting out 9 of Clubs, albeit a little
late...

Lauren Hughes, for the bottle of non-alcoholic champagne for me in consolation

Everyone at TalkMagic.co.uk for being really nice about it, and reminding me that it had been decided the night before who was going to win (ie. the only competitor from the same society as the judges)

Haskan Kaya & His Mum for.....inspiration

Shaun McCree for allowing me to use his trick, and for the inspiring words before hand

Olly Day, for looking after me, and giving me some great advice afterwards

Mark Waddington, for the jokes that didnt work.

And Bi-Curious George for keeping me company, and for letting me practice my routine the night before

  • very nice, without trying to give anything away, on the first trick try to speed up pulling out the razor blades.

  • Wow what a horrible audience... Your performance was very good though. Quite funny aswell :)

  • That was very very good. your seriously talented.

  • oh my, the fear in your voice at 0:48. I loved your routine and the jokes were pretty damn funny. Great job, let me know if you ever consider sharing the secret to your crisps trick. wink wink

  • shitty audience ._. you did it GREAT dude, keep it up.

  • you are talented.

  • You did a great job, really! The audience was't cool, i feel sorry for you. The bad point for you was maybe because you were too nervous, i felt it in the beginning (0:48) until the end and the audience as well I think. Because of that you weren't comfortable doing jokes. But you're good at magic, that's a truth. Keep doing it! :)

  • immense... particularly the crisp packet, though i believe i may know how its done.

  • Whoever set up the mics and sound equipment did a horrible job.

Anyway, Tom, you did a fine job, and the lunchbox revelation of the card was excellent.

  • awesome i never see using the clipshift in a "classic" close up effect
