The P40's and P42's are garbage. Especially with crossing collisions, they are too lite and are always derailing when they hit anything big. Think about how common this scene is lately. Now how many F40's and P30's and SDP40's have you ever seen like this? Not many. They need to get rid of these locomotives!

Ouch lol. That looked like a P40 in the Ph-IV Scheme. The P40s are crap compared to their sisters (P42DC). The P40 actually has a very flimsy frame. The P42DC has a reinforced bolt-on nose plate. Look closley at the nose shots in my videos and you will see what I mean.

True. There us good news about it though. P42DC #66 is back in service now. After some minor repairs, she is runnin the rails again.

You're welcome. Wow! What an experience. I'm thankful that there were no fatalities. The dumptruck driver is very lucky and should be super thankful that he is alive.

Same here! We barely felt a thing except for a few jerking motions. I KNEW we had hit something because on a previous connection from Albany NY to NYC, my train hit a truck and almost sent it into the Hudson. By any chance did you get any pics of the dump truck?
