  • You played the hymn before the Chorale Prelude. I would love to know where you found the hymn. Beautiful harmonization. Is that also Parry's harmonization?

  • @schutzelb It's in "Hymns Ancient and Modern" titled as "Croft's 148", in the 1982 Episcopal Hymnal (in the key of C rather than D), and in the Pilgrim Hymnal (C). You can also find it online at hymnary.org I don't think the harmonization is by Parry.

  • good interpretation! this organ who has built?

  • Grazie molto, Maestro. The organ was built by the Hook & Hastings Company of Boston in 1893, and restored by Bradley Rule in 1999. (I've added some more information in the video notes.) Best wishes!

  • This organ has such a bright and lovely sound! When was it constructed?

  • In 1893, and restored in 1999 by Bradley Rule. The organ also has much warm, rich fundamental sounds as well, but my recording equipment doesn't capture that end of the spectrum as well. Thanks for subscribing and for posting your own videos!

  • So glad that this organ survived! I service the organ that replaced this one. I like this one better!! I had no Idea that it still existed!!

  • Beautiful! More Parry, please!

  • this organ is beautiful, Keep up the posting of these videos, It is so relaxing

  • Really enjoyed your fine playing and what a beautiful tone this Organ has. Although not a big specification u some how by the clarity and skill of your organ playing make it sound much bigger.
