Final train service to leave Tanjong Pagar for Malaysia.

There was a small crowd of about 20 people on the pedestrian bridge at Ghim Moh waiting for the train. When the train arrived at 10.43pm, it "winked" its headlights twice at the onlookers while sounding the horn.

As it sped away we could see that the train had more cars than usual. You can hear the crowd exclaim this in three languages - "panjang panjang", "so long ah" and "好长啊".

The departure of these trains mark the end of an era in Singapore's transportation history.
