@johnnytremain66 Wasn't her dad a radio dj known as "The Merry Mailman"? Her brother Dick, was a dj on WFIL radio here in Philadelphia in the '60s.
That being said...Joey was awesome...probably my first celebrity crush.

This is a knock-off of "Monkey Time" same melody. The line..."You'll be a big strong lion" is very similar to "Give me a big strong line" from "Monkey Time".

i'm from on Long Island, where D. is from,,her dad Ray would come and entertain the kids at Christmas, nice guy really sweet.he was a gentleman, all the kids loved him...you definitely could see where Johanna got her charm and manners from ,

I was thinking the melody was "The Monkey Time", but I'm probably incorrect. Definitely this song was not created just for this performance, which the introduction implies.
This scene comes from the TV show "Hullabaloo", thus the name of the song. Joey's working out so vigorously that she's out of breath when she has to sing the 2nd time.
Note that this is such a fantastic dance that you can even do it while lying on the floor on your back.
