Seikei Elementary School, Kichijoji, Tokyo, is an ultramodern new primary school built with Mitsubishi money. I visited the first day of classes for entering first graders as the guest of one of the parents, a professor at Seikei University (on the same grounds). One can observe the teacher's welcoming of the new kids through the partly glass walls on one side of the room. Notice the large TV screen. How many teachers elsewhere, including Japan, would give anything to work in such a place? For context, check my blog at http://kabukiwoogie.blogspot.com.
i used to work there....ah, good times :)
