  • kennedy's publicity stunt has benefited scores of people who otherwise would freeze this winter (12 million gallons of home heating oil at a 40% discount). perhaps our friends at Exxon Mobile could engage in similar shameless activities. i wonder how much their souls are worth. some thoughtful observations nonetheless.

  • It IS a publicity stunt. There are already welfare programs to provide low- or no-cost heating oil to poor Americans. No one in America would go cold, even without the faux benevolence of Hugo Chavez.

And, contrary to your sophomoric worldview, ExxonMobil is not a dictatorship.

  • Great vlog yet again - I'm in the UK so try to keep abreast of US politics, and your political vids give me a big helping hand getting my head around the prominent figures over there. Your Berlin/etc vids were a nice break too - too much politics makes my, and I'm sure your, head hurt sometimes! Keep it up.

  • Thanks for the kind words, but no promises on whether I'll be keeping this up. It's a lot of work. =/

  • This is one of your best so far. Keep it up.

  • It's a lot of work though.

  • i never said ExxonMobil was a dictatorship, there are not enough welfare programs to cover the 27 million at risk residents, and i never said it wasn't a publicity stunt (though i would frame it more as a political act that benefits the poor). the number of deaths due to oil heating oil cut offs are too numerous to mention (google dr. meg power). toodles!

  • Thanks! =)

  • I support the motion. Great vlog.
