I used Avgas in a chevy for years.

    115/145 octane.

I got it free because I worked at the airport and when we sumped the tanks to get the water out some fuel was always left in the bucket.

I just poured it into my car instead of down the drain like it had been done in the past.

    Never had a problem.

  • @metalmulisha6661 No, because when the engine emits a different O2 reading, the computer is going to do everything it can to compensate for that. And the fact that the DWP (LA Department of Water and Power) only recently stopped using Av-Gas/91 mix (due to the conversion to mostly diesel engine trucks now) should tell you something. 30+ years of fuel mixing should count into your theory.

  • @MrJesspatrick the computer doesnt know what ocatne the fuel its injecting is, it would in fact be the phsyical engine and fuel system that would eat away.

  • @anthonycr2502 Not...My friends and I used to go out to the airport at least once a week and do a 50/50 mix. Av-Gas and 91. One of the guys had a 12:1 compression 355, that would ONLY run with Av-Gas mix. A fuel injected car might not like it too much, but that would only be the computer, not the physical engine.

  • @anthonycr2502 Thats not entirely true. i run aviation fuel in my 69 porsche and because aviation fuel has lead in it and its high in octane, i spoil my engine it loves it

  • If u wanna sieze a car put airplane fuel in it and put wide open

  • lol... just today i realized my civic had zero oil or coolant in it (someone f*ed up), but it was running fine for a long, long time.
