@nebulae87 Music as with many art forms is subjective. I am an artist and get lots of inspiration from songs that probably has nothing to do with what was intended to mean. All art forms are that no two people can listen to a song, read a book, watch a movie, etc. and have the exact same reaction. The way we percieve things is based on many factors in our lives that no one has experienced personally but us. Me personally, when I get married I would LOVE for this the father/daughter song.

This song is about a guy talking about the bad things you cannot change in a girl because of the way she was raised. Hence him(john mayer) talking to fathers about their daughters. I dont think this song fits with a father/daughter dance. But....to each his own.
