BeOS R5 Professional Edition included some sample multimedia files, including two songs composed by Be staff ("5038" and "virtual (void)") as well as a video of Be staff pushing computer monitors off the roof of their building in Menlo Park.
@winfr34k And it is opensource under the MIT license, The filesystem is used in SkyOS (still named bfs in most references, but skyFS in others) and it is awesome for so many reasons. I am working on wine (commercial version, sold for 1 SEK per cop y 1/7th of a dollar) and i see it shipping in october. gaming is out of the question as the drivers are not there yet, but once they are.. my wine port will use them. and yes, i can develop and sell gpl software and provide the src ONCE DONE.
I like the haiku project because it's the lightest OS I've seen in a while and it does a beautiful Job on my Notebook (I didn't test sound, but hopefully it works) =)
@winfr34k All of them (the ones left atleast) when aquired by Palm has explicit NDA's and can not work on haiku. but we have someone better than any be developer on board. Alex Dörfler is a demigod.
If you have a copy of the BeOS R5 Pro, go look in /boot/optional/sound/MP3/Liner Notes and take a look at these guys :P amazing. BeOS was the best OS ever.
@judgen You're welcome :D
Although I have to say that I like Virtual Void (the song) better :D

Is anything known about the developers of BeOS? What are they doing currently? Do some of them work on Haiku?
