The Terminator (PAL) Part 1 SEGA Mega CD
480p is recommended for best Quality.
The SEGA Mega CD today is perhaps considered a monstrocity of a joke. It is a SEGA console best remembered other than the game Sonic CD for it's disapointing collection of games available on it. Considering 80% of it's software used full motion videos which was not favourited by most SEGA fans. But the system did pull out a few really good games like this one. The Terminator on SEGA Mega CD treats gamers to an all new experience which was never possible on the SEGA Master System, Mega Drive or any other port. This beast of a version does still use FMV but only in cut scenes in between levels where it shows actual footage from the original film. The basic gameplay is what we all know and love from SEGA which is Action, Platforming.
You take on the role of future soldier Kyle Reese scailing up and down each level looking for power ups and shooting wave after wave of Terminators and even humans in the later stages. The graphics are very detailed, the soundtrack is amazing! Featuring 80's rock and metal music, and the game features 10 huge levels to explore adding more excitement to the game. The Master System and Mega Drive versions only featured 4 or 5 levels while this one has 10.
Other than the hit Mega CD games ''Sonic CD'' and ''Sonic Megamix'' I highly recommend ''The Terminator'' on SEGA Mega CD for those of you that are starting up a collection of Mega CD games for their system. This game doesn't disapoint!
STORY: Kyle Reese, a lone warrior from the future, returns to the past in the year 1984 to protect the one woman that holds the key to the survival of the human race. Together they must face not only everything Los Angeles has to throw at them but also the terrifying might of a cyborg known as the Terminator... who will stop at nothing to kill them both.
LEVEL 1: HUMAN OUTPOST
As the game starts off, it starts off in the future, in the year 2029 where Reese must escape the human base which has been overrun by Terminators. Here we get to hear Tommy's first original musical composition that plays along with the first level.
ORIGINAL TERMINATOR THEME: Brad Fiedel 1984.
MUSIC COMPOSER: Tommy Tallarico 1993.
MUSIC BY: Tommy Tallarico 1993.
PS: Best to have your PC volume up on full blast, because I turned down the recording volume slightly when I recorded this playthrough cause usually Mega CD games have very strong audio output and I didn't wanna risk recording it too loud incase distortion came in so I lowered it slightly.
Enjoy!
just saying but the fucking "govornator" did not do SHIT for my state of *in his accent* Caleeforneeuh. Glad his ass outta office now. He should have friggin' stuck to MOVIES. NOT poilitics, for crying out loud. And that fucking cameo of his in "The Expendables" was just a load of WAY over-hyped bullshite. Buuuuut anyways......

@thefidlerontheroof Yeah Arnie shouldn't of moved to politics after making movies. I think that was a poor career move on his part. The last few films he made before becoming governor of California sucked anyway including Terminator 3.
Michael Biehn, the protagonist in this game is the star of the first Terminator movie. The movie is all about him anyway. Not Arnold.

@A hmm.... so is THAT what you Aussies call him? "Arnie"? I have never heard that one before. Fuck me dead, T3 was a heap of catastrophe. Good way to end your acting career before going off and fucking up a state!! T4 was better. Yeah, Michael Biehn really was the main dude whilst Arnold was just the role of the baddie. But when i hear "Terminator" i think of that bloke. And when i think of him i think of how shit he was as governor. We all hate him here. And i know i;m ranting... haha!

@thefidlerontheroof Yeah ''Arnie'' is his nickname over here. I haven't seen T4 but I hope it's an improvement over the third one. The female Terminator in T3 ruined the experience.

@Adam060756 is T4 an improvement? I think yeah! It is! Christian Bale brought new life into the franchise and Sam Worthington plays a good Terminator. "Good" in two senses: 1) it has a heart therefore it has feelings and makes human rational choices which is proven many times throughout the film and 2) a good terminator as in not a sucky one as the female one. HAHA! You think that female blew it? Hahahaha, i totally agree.

@thefidlerontheroof To me personally she didn't look scary or threatening like Arnold in the first one or the T-1000 in the second one. Kristanna Loken pffff..... Everytime I see her in T3 I wanna root her not get scared by her.
But at least T3 the game on Gameboy Advance was pretty good. I got it and managed to get to the end.
