  • it's very complicated...so much work for a simple box...I can make it in google sketchup in like 2 minutes...

  • @PRINCEofPECICA it's a step by step tutorial,not a speed modeling competition ;)

  • my model doesnt show all of the lines and shading that you have. i only see the shading when i am at certain angles.

  • @shamwowofdeath try F3 and F4 to switch between wireframe modes.

  • i dont have the have the X and Y arrows to enlarge the box while in vertex modification. help plz

  • @shamwowofdeath try this: go to Menu Toolbar CUSTOMIZE/ PREFERENCES/ GIZMOS tab. Tick ON option to show transform gizmo. If you are using default shortcut settings just press X

  • @NicroLife Leave him alone, his tutorials are wonderful.

  • @3:21 When moving the vertex, right click and select "move". Otherwise you can not change the shape of the box.

  • @PRINCEofPECICA

When building objects for, for instance bobs track builder, sketchup has a lot of flaws, which 3ds max does not have.

  • Here's a hint, its not mat-re-all, its ma-ter-eial

  • @shamwowofdeath I had the same problem and after a bit of googling I found that if you press W you will be able to edit as shown in the video. Hope this helps.

  • @PRINCEofPECICA you will never get a job in the industry using google sketchup.

3DS Max is an industry standard piece of software.

  • help! when I attach the 2 crate parts it works fine, but whenever I want to copy-shift the next two they box gets loose from the 3 parts. ?

  • Hey, nice tutorial! Learning good stuff!!! But I'm just wondering what graphics card you have cause my box looks a lot worse than yours, yours look more detailed compared with mine, thanks!

  • thank you for this tutorial. i'm a begginer and most of the tutorials available are too hard for me to follow. this was really helpful!

  • @3dhelpbay

I had the same problem but the ON option was already selected. I have no way of increasing/decreasing the size. Nice tutorials though :)
