  • How do you fish with a fly and bubble?

Do you just cast it out and let it sit?

  • in a lake: cast, let sit 4 20 40 seconds, then twitch and reel slowly pausing every now and then.

the fish will hit the type of retrieve they like.

stream: cast out across current and let drift - at end of drift reel slow/med - repeat :)

  • Bubble and fly is a favorite, especially in lakes! Super fun. Just use the smallest bubble available and a 'Carolina Keeper' attachment to keep the bubble 2 - 3' from the barbless fly and toss it out. The best for evenings or all day if they are rising. From roadside lakes to high elevation goldens, I use it most.

  • Have you guys caught any golden trout? They aren't very big but they are about as nice lookin' a fish as you'll see. I love the goldens in the high sierra lakes.

  • what lake is this?

  • Smedberg Lake?
