Some call centers don't all agents to speak in any other language unless they are a bi-lingual agent because most quality assurance reps (the people who monitor the calls) aren't bi-lingual. That might have been why she didn't use her local language.

Improper targeting by company. More than the fault of the customer, the company and the tele marketer herself are to be blamed for such stupidity and lack of presence of mind.

I agree with shaan.. only 9% of people in india knows to speak english.I would say that call center girl is stupid because she should have spoken in the local language when she realized that he doesnt know english but she insisted to speak in english.

whats the problem here? the customer does not know English. The f*cking call center girls is speaking in English instead of the customer's language. these kind of companies will slowly lose their customers. don't they know that only 9% of the Indian population speaks English?
