I could never understand why America never got into blacktop racing that wasn't on an oval track. Virtually all the oval track racing in Australia is done on speedway clay. Virtually every other track is a circuit with left and right turns, straights, sometimes hairpins, but always more challenging. It also makes for much better crashes when someone does crash.
