maravilha de apresentação, belissima!

Its very sad that techniques like these are not practiced more often. Too much focus on competition Judo in my opinion.

what do they do with students who cannot sit in seiza?

The two main differences between Kodokan and Busen is that 1 Kodokan is a strictley prescribed style (it's either rigth or wrong) and Busen gives the oppotunity for variety, and 2 Kodokan comes with a lot of formality, effectively focussing more on Judo (and Jiu-jitsu) as an exact science.
The funny thing is, if you look at old footage of Kano, you see Busen! So, in the end, it's just a name, but Kodokan is more beautiful to look at!

@Anibal677 Not forgetting that Kano's idea was to create a safer version of jiu-jitsu, focussing on control over your opponent
-
yeah, before it was known as Judo-Jitsu, then Kano kept the Judo.

man i really love Judo
Judo is a very complete martial art. It has throws (Nage Waza), grappling (Katame Waza) and strikes (Atemi Waza) including strikes to the vital point. All those techniques are in the Judo Katas. The only problem is that the modern training focuses in throws because almost all modern schools have their major interest in competition.

I can assure you that this IS Kodokan Judo, I learned this Kata from Hasegawa and Sato Sensei, both Kodokan 8th Dan.
