(Aug. 5)They don't call it the Windy City for nothing.Residents of Chicago spent the day Tuesday going the debris after a severe thunderstorms plowed through the area the night before.SOTIt looks like we got hit pretty good.The storm ripped through buildings and homes and knocked down power lines, leaving thousands of people in the dark.SOTWe could see some parts flying off the roof and there was a lot of noise and shattering of windows.The city's tornado sirens also blared during the night, and while there was no confirmation of one forming some of these residents say they were unprepared for what did come.SOTIt got very dark the clouds got dark. But we didn't know what was going on. We thought it was just just going to rain. But the wind started picking up real bad and the rain picked up real bad and that's when we all ran to the basement.There were no reports on injuries in Chicago but authorities say the same storm system is to blame for one death in Indiana. ___ ___, The Associated Press.

I miss those storms back home. Oh, and i moved to Vegas, the wind here is much much stronger than Chicago.
