  • Does everyone her realize who Andy Stern is? And this is Obama's go to guy? Who could ever doubt that Obama himself is a Socialist?

  • What about tort reform? Don't you think that would help bring down the cost of malpractice insurance for the doctors you have worked for? How about interstate competition with insurance companies?

At one time a three or four generations back, if someone wasn't happy with what was going on in their home state, they could "vote with their feet." Now, it's impossible to do that with the way the government has destroyed that as well.

  • We are screwed!!!

Two biggest crooks on this planet: Obama and Stern!

No wonder America is going down the drain!!!!!

    God help us

  • "Fiscal Responsibility Summit"..........What a F"in joke

  • 1. NOBODY has denied tort reform is needed and there are sidecar bills that are set to do that

    2. The reason it isn't the centerpiece of a healthcare bill is that studies by the government already show that tort reform would only bring down costs 2%. MUCH more agressive cost cutting is required re healthcare reform.

  • Just listen to that scum bag Andy Stern. Look at how he is dressed. All they want is the Money.

This mother fucker should get run over by a bus.

  • Good Point.

But my thinking is that would save money and jobs, if some of the thugs could make a living wage, not all but some would live right. We are paying higher and higher cost for health care, in a free market the cost of any serves should be trending down but with health care its not. It comes out of our wallet in a lot of ways $1500 is added to the cost of a new car to cover workers health care thats just a one reason why we need a 2 system style of health care. H.R. 676 check it out

  • If a person opts out, they still are paying other's insurance through taxes. There are a huge number of Americans who live terribly unhealthy lifestyles (smokers, poor diet/ obesity, drug and alcohol abusers, thugs/gangs beating each other up and shooting/stabbing each other) that will not change their ways and responsible people should pay for that? The system is costly now because of much of this. The hospital keeps a thug in ICU for months, the buck gets passed to responsible consumer.

  • No. I have worked in health care for years. In the years I've worked for MDs AND the ins industry, mostly people do NOT go and get treated waiting instead until something is critical and then they go to the emergency room and THAT is VERY costly! No incentive is needed per your note because that's not the problem. Opting out is not good either because then the public once again will have to cover these people when they end up in the emergency room for the treatment they blew off. Sorry but no.
