My first "proper" club caving trip and it was certainly an eye opener I can tell you!! only abseil I'd done before was for charity, so abseiling into the boat was interesting..especially when the rope isnt knotted and I dropped the last foot and a half! oh and learning to prussik there and then was fun.
Excellent trip! shame I caught manflu!

most of us came out the adit, but it took a bit of finding. A couple of people climbed out of the shakehole - it's not pleasant!

where did you guys exit from? Did this at the weekend, we came out the quarry.

Route finding is pretty easy until the end. Climbing out of the daylight shakeholes is not much fun. Better to try to find the adit.

We had a great time. 6 1/2 hours of fun, managed to exit the rhosydd adit, then 50mph winds with rain and sleet to aid our journey back to the vehicle at the croesor adit. i havent had time to learn to make short films like yours, but have posted a few short clips. just search under bishbash63. i t was pretty scary with my freind hugh falling off / through the 1st bridge!

yes, I saw that! Almost the same thing happened on our trip at that exact spot. The person just felt his foot sinking and stepped off in time. Unfortunately, I never had the camera rolling.
