The stark Christmas contrast between the lively singing of The Glide Choir of Glide Memorial Church in San Francisco and the song of 6-year-old Heather Martin singing the question of when her brother was coming home from the War in Iraq was so disturbing to me that it formed the basis for this episode. It's weird and unfortunate that Heather's brother is fighting in a war such that he was most likely already enlisted in the military for reasons having nothing to do with the war, and yet is fighting in the war; and his little sister begs for his return by song. On Christmas he should be at home with her not in Iraq.

  • 3 million baby nice job!!!!!!1

  • ma big head ass niqqa breakin in down like the history channel

  • This was said before & I totally agree:

"I love it when ignorant people think they are smarter than the government. Oh and by the way, Mr. Threeminutes, why else would someone join the military if they didn't want to fight to serve our country. Everyone joins the military for the purpose of fighting for the country. Do you think Heather's brother joined the military to have a good 'ol time seeing the world? And Heather's brother is fairly young, so he most likey joined after the war began."

  • TO symphonia8512: my 1 friend is actualy joinin the marines after his dad dies bcuz he wants to become a chef n has no money for college or a place to live bcuz he wont even be able to afford to live in his 1 bedroom trailer n e more with the money he gets paid at work-he's 20 & gets paid $10 hr

so for him it either join up or move in w/a friend if possible n work multiple low wage jobs in order to survive

i mean in that situation wat wouold u pick?

  • to add on to some other ppls comments...not everyone realizes the situation they are putting themselves in when they join up...some just do it because either they are ignorant of the harsh reality of war & think it sounds like fun or they do it to go to school. i know a few people that are gona join up wen they graduate HS because they have no way to go to college without having to do the juggling full time low paying jobs, fees, bills and attending/ doing work for their classes.

  • that is so cruel...

y wouold u call a seven year old a ****in idiot???

wats wrong with u.... mayb ur the idiot.

she's just a seven year old who likes to sing and missed her brother...so see sang the song her mom asked her to...get off her back.

i dont think that was the point to wat he was saying...

he was telling the world to wake up!

  • CONEHEAD sings old man river!!!

  • "War is sad but it is better than the alternative which is appeasement."

Heather Martin is sad. War is cataclysmic. You can count better alternatives on one hand if you even need that many. This little girl asks "when" because she can't bear to ask "if". But that's the real question these families must deal with every minute of every day.

This war is a lie. It is fought FOR those who gain everything and sacrifice nothing BY those who gain nothing and sacrifice everything.

  • Iam sorry heather for idiots like this. But Iam glad that her brother is over there so that you have the freedom to make videos like this. And at the same time it breaks my heart.
